Where Can We Help You?

Led by Dr. Lucas Bryant, a double board-certified Nashville facial plastic surgeon, Refine Facial Plastic Surgery and Aesthetics helps patients address an array of cosmetic concerns. Scroll below to see which services we offer at our practice.

Facial Concerns

Poor skin texture:

Laser and energy treatments are excellent for smoothing textured, bumpy, or rough skin on the face. In addition to lasers, microneedling and microdermabrasion can also help improve skin texture and certain types of scars.

Enlarged pores:

While it’s not technically possible to shrink pores, you can make them appear smaller with microdermabrasion, skin lasers, microdermabrasion, chemical peels, and more.

Sun damage:

We can reverse sun-damaged skin with IPL photofacial or skin rejuvenation treatments such as chemical peels, microdermabrasion, and more.

Sagging skin:

FaceTite skin tightening, CO2 laser, Fraxel, microneedling (collagen induction therapy) are among the top nonsurgical skin rejuvenation treatments for poor skin elasticity.

Loss of facial volume:

Non-surgical facial contouring with dermal fillers is a fast and effective solution that provides instantly youthful results. Juvederm and Restylane are among the most popular. Radiesse dermal filler is ideal for lipoatrophy (facial fat loss) as well. For more permanent solutions, facial implants such as cheek implants may be used. Facial fat grafting, also known as fat injections, also provides a permanent enhancement for lost facial volume.

Facial reconstructive surgery:

Dr. Bryant is a dual board-certified plastic surgeon specializing in head and neck surgery. With advanced training in reconstructive face surgery, he offers services to patients in need of assistance after trauma, accident, or injury in Nashville and beyond.

Lower face aging:

A facelift surgery is considered the best way to correct signs of aging in the lower third of the face when a patient reaches age 40 and beyond. Non-surgical facelift alternatives also provide dramatic results without the need to undergo surgery. These include_once laser and RF energy treatments such as Fraxel, CO2 laser, microneedling, radiofrequency microneedling, liposuction, FaceTite, Embrace RF, chemical peels, jaw and chin implants, and filler treatments.

Wrinkles

Forehead wrinkles:

Surgical treatments include_once a brow lift (forehead lift) to tighten loose forehead skin that is causing forehead wrinkles, eyebrow furrows, and drooping brows. Nonsurgical treatments include_once Botox for dynamic forehead wrinkles that form due to making facial expressions. For deep forehead wrinkles, injectable dermal fillers may be used.

Crow’s feet:

Nonsurgical treatments include_once Botox for crow’s feet. Laser and energy treatments can also tighten the skin from the comfort of a treatment chair. Surgical treatments include_once a temporal brow lift, which raises the outer third of the eyebrow. This has a smoothening effect on eye wrinkles that form near the temples.

Nasolabial folds (“smile lines”):

Dermal fillers are the leading nonsurgical treatment option for nasolabial folds that form between the base of the nose to the corners of the mouth. To correct more advanced signs of lower face aging, facelift surgery may be needed to tighten the skin on the bottom third of the face, thereby smoothing smile lines around the mouth.

Marionette lines:

Also called “puppet lines”, these wrinkles around the mouth develop between the corners of the lips down toward the chin area, resembling the shape of parentheses. Nonsurgical treatment options include_once dermal fillers that can be injected with no downtime to plump and smooth the wrinkles.

Frown lines (“11 lines”):

The two vertical lines that form between the brows are known as 11 lines because that is exactly what they look like. Also known as eyebrow furrows, nonsurgical treatment options include_once Botox for 11s. For deep wrinkles that are visible even when the face is at rest, injectable fillers such as Radiesse, Restylane, and Juvederm may be used. For more advanced signs of aging and wrinkles on the upper third of the face a forehead lift, also known as a brow lift, may be indicated.

Neck, Chin, & Jaw

Aging neck skin:

Sagging jowls, turkey neck, a double chin, vertical neck bands or “rings of Venus”, and lower face aging will see tremendous improvement with a combined facelift and neck lift surgery. These procedures may also be performed separately, depending on the areas the patient wishes to correct.

Protruding chin or wide jawbone:

Chin augmentation surgery is the optimal treatment for a chin that protrudes or sticks out. Dr. Bryant can shave the bones down on the chin and jaw area for better jawline definition that is in harmony with the rest of your face.

Small chin:

A chin that’s too small can have volume added through the use of dermal chin fillers or a permanent chin implant.

Double chin:

Surgical chin fat reduction can be achieved with the use of chin liposuction. Nonsurgical treatments include FDA-approved fat lipolysis with AccuTite for double chin reduction and skin tightening.

Sagging jowls and fullness on the jawline:

Jaw contouring can be achieved non-surgically with AccuTite or FaceTite.

Under Eyes

The delicate eye area has thin skin, so it is often the first place patients notice signs of aging. Common concerns include_once dark circles, bags under the eyes, puffy eyes, and hollow tear troughs. Having just one of these traits can make a person look tired, angry, sad, or simply older than they would like. Surgical under-eye treatments include_once lower lid blepharoplasty (eye lift surgery). Non-surgical eye treatments include_once Restylane or other dermal fillers for tear trough hollows and dark circles under the eyes. CO2 laser, Fraxel, IPL, and chemical peels can also soften the look of wrinkles near the eye area.

Temples

Loss of volume at the temples gives the face a hollow, aged appearance. Strategically placed dermal fillers for temples can restore lost volume to make the facial contours look better in the outer eye area. The temple area is also an excellent place for fat transfer if you desire a more permanent solution. Surgical treatment options for the temple area include_once a lateral temporal brow lift (“temple lift”). Radiofrequency skin tightening, chemical peels, CO2 laser, and Fraxel can also help rejuvenate the outer eye and temple area by diminishing the look of wrinkles.

Cheeks

Sagging cheek skin:

Wrinkles and sagging skin on the cheek, jowls, and lower face will see a major improvement with facelift surgery. For patients that are not ready for a facelift yet, skin rejuvenation treatments such as laser and RF energy devices can provide a beautiful skin tightening effect. A mid-face lift is a short surgical treatment that elevates the cheek tissues using an incision hidden inside the hair.

Low cheekbones:

Youthful cheeks are plump and full. When the cheeks lose volume, it makes a patient look older than they would like. Other patients were born with flat cheekbones. Non-surgical cheek augmentation with cheek fillers such as Radiesse, Juvederm, and more can add volume to the cheekbone area for a more contoured face shape. Surgical cheek enhancement may involve the use of permanent cheek implants.

Round cheeks:

Excessively full or pudgy cheeks can be improved with buccal fat removal surgery or nonsurgical face contouring with lipolysis devices such as FaceTite that destroy fat cells, leaving the cheeks nicely contoured and visibly less full.

Lips

Thin lips:

Do you want to make your lips bigger? There are many ways to accomplish this. Nonsurgical lip enhancement can be done with lip fillers for plump lips that appear more voluptuous. Permanent lip augmentation surgery can also be performed with a lip lift procedure that advances the lip border, giving the appearance of larger lips with better lip line definition. SMAS lip augmentation is an advanced method of lip augmentation commonly performed during a facelift. In Dr. Bryant’s experience, it is a more durable treatment than fat transfer to the lip, or filler.

Cleft Lip:

A little less than 1% of children are born with a cleft lip or cleft palate each year. Cleft lip surgery can help. Dr. Bryant offers pediatric reconstructive plastic surgery in Nashville and beyond for children of all ages. Cleft lip or cleft palate surgery can also be performed at the same time as rhinoplasty as needed.

Nose

Obstructed breathing:

Septoplasty is a surgical procedure that helps a patient breathe normally. It is often covered by insurance because it is medically necessary rather than cosmetic in nature. Dr. Bryant offers various septum, nasal valves, and sinus surgery procedures based on the patient’s needs.

Wide nostrils:

symmetry and harmony of facial features are important. In some cases, the nostrils may not match the overall dimensions of the rest of your nose. In this case, alarplasty (also called nostril reduction or alar base reduction) may be a great option for you. This short, 30-minute in-office procedure is commonly performed by itself, or as part of a rhinoplasty (nose job).

Dorsal hump:

A large dorsal bump can be corrected with rhinoplasty surgery, also known as a nose job surgery. Shaving down the bones and cartilage can also correct a wide nose bridge, enlarged nostrils, drooping nasal tip, bulbous nose, and more. Minor cosmetic nose imperfections can be treated non surgically with a nonsurgical rhinoplasty, also called a liquid rhinoplasty or liquid nose job.
